About the Role
Univision Local Media is looking to add a creative and strategic Multimedia Digital Journalist to join our growing team and become the digital ambassador for the multimedia integration. This position will be reporting to the TV News Director with a dotted line to the Regional Digital Editor. The goal for this position is to support the growth of our digital audiences and function as a subject matter expert on the planning and execution of content audience growth initiatives. Multimedia Digital Journalist will be embedded within our local Newsroom and work directly with newsroom staff to create, edit, publish, optimize, distribute and promote Univision linear and nonlinear content, with the ultimate view of growing audience and share in all the digital platforms (APP, website, social media accounts, YouTube).
As the Digital ambassador within the newsroom, this candidate should be able to coordinate and lead with the Assignment Desk the content to be published in digital platforms with a Digital First mindset.
Requirements
3 years’ progressive experience in digital media content and news production
1-3 years’ experience building and managing multiple channels, optimization and best practices
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or equivalent experience
Bilingual with the ability to write in Spanish is a must
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
Candidate must be flexible and willing to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays
